A unique and impressive venue:
VetCPD are delighted to announce that VetCPD Congress 2018 was a resounding success. 26 exhibitors and over 360 delegates were welcomed on 20th-21st September to Bath’s Assembly Rooms, all of whom were extremely pleased with the event. Both the speaker programmes, one of which was exclusively for Vets and the other for Vet Nurses, were packed with relevant hot topics in veterinary medicine.
Attendees commented on the friendly ambience of the gathering and were delighted with both the unique character and impressive surroundings of Bath’s beautiful Assembly Rooms, as the event unfolded beneath beautiful Georgian oil paintings and stunning crystal chandeliers.
Delegates and exhibitors testify to a resounding success:
Jo Harris, Director and Cardiologist at HeartVets, Gloucestershire, who exhibited at the event commented,
“We’ve been delighted to be able to engage with our referring vets at this event as this is our core area for clinical cardiology referrals. This has been a friendly event with great atmosphere in a lovely venue in the stunning setting of Bath, and we look forward to returning next year!”
Amy Shawcross, Veterinary Nurse from Ashleigh Veterinary centre, who attended the Nurses CPD lecture stream also commented;
“This event has been a really good value CPD event today, with many knowledgeable speakers who’ve provided spot-on advice and superb CPD. I’ve combined a mini weekend break to Bath with some excellent CPD and I would definitely recommend this event to other Veterinary Nurses.”
Charlotte Matthews, Vet at Belmont Vets in Hereford added:
“There has been a fantastic and varied range of CPD at this event. It offers great value for money in a stunning location. Jake Hannabuss’s lecture about ‘What can the aviation industry teach the veterinary nursing profession about human error’ was fascinating, and his engaging manner meant that he held the audiences’ attention throughout so that you could have heard a pin drop during it such was the audience interest”.
Julie Hollywood, Vet at The George Veterinary Group in Malmesbury also stated,
“As a Vet with twenty plus years’ experience in the profession, it’s great to attend a CPD event like this where I’ve gained excellent ‘top tips’ and ideas to take back to my own team and I would highly recommend this event to both experienced and new Vets alike”.
Impressive lectures and Networking opportunities:
The Vet and Vet Nurse lecture series were well attended and feedback has been very positive from delegates who attended the lectures. They have praised the speakers’ expertise in their subject areas and interactive presentations, which enabled delegates to take useful and practical CPD knowledge away with them, as well as helpful advice for them to put into practice in their daily working lives.
Many of the attendees also commented on the useful networking opportunity that the event provided, with the chance to meet fellow professionals within the veterinary world, as well as view some of the different veterinary services that were exhibited there. This networking opportunity extended beyond the event, as a delicious dinner was organised with entertainment at a local restaurant on the Thursday evening which was very well attended by delegates and exhibitioners alike.
Following the great success of our 2018 event, VetCPD are already planning and preparing for next year’s Congress with plans to further extend the event. More details to follow soon! For more information please visit http://vetcpdcongress.co.uk
