VetCPD celebrated five years in business this year and it’s been a record breaking few months as the end of 2018 approaches. Coming hot on the footsteps of a very successful September with their second VetCPD Congress event, October and November have been very busy months for the VetCPD team with record attendance on their tutored online courses. Simon Guiton, MD at VetCPD commented,
“We were delighted when we set a new record of 385 delegates attending our October courses. However, we were stunned when this new record was smashed with over 450 delegates attending our November courses! This is a huge achievement in team working and a testament to the amazing quality of the courses put together by our dedicated tutors”.
The courses are well received by students with many of them providing glowing testimony about the courses, such as Suzanne Whight, BVSc MRCVS who attended the Anaesthetic Monitoring for Veterinary Nurses course earlier this year, who commented,
“Very clear and concise course notes. Excellent case studies and quizzes to test the new knowledge. Lots of practical tips to use in day to day practice. A fantastic update on monitoring anaesthesia. Now I can keep up with all those super nurses! ”
VetCPD online courses offer a highly interactive and modular way of learning with unique features including: a series of modules comprising a recorded webinar, comprehensive and downloadable course notes, clinical cases to test your knowledge and an active course forum where participants can ask questions and debate topics. Each course is worth 8 hours CPD and is great value at £129 + VAT.
Courses running in January 2019 include: Parasite prevention and disease detection in the travelling and imported pet (essential for O.V.s with ‘grandfather rights’ looking for a relevant CPD course that will go towards the revalidation of their OV status), Anaesthetic Monitoring for Veterinary Nurses, Ophthalmology in Dogs and Cats, Epilepsy in cats and dogs, and Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumours in the Dog. All courses run for three weeks with the tutor, beginning on 7th January 2019 and ending on the 27th January 2019.
VetCPD are also busy planning their next VetCPD Congress event to be held at Bath’s Assembly Rooms on the 19 and 20th September 2019, and have also recently announced plans for a bigger, larger Congress event for 2020 with a two centre venue event planned. More details to follow in the New Year.
