Monitoring anaesthetised patients is one of the most crucial aspects of a veterinary nurse’s role and ‘Anaesthetic Monitoring for Veterinary Nurses’ online course that starts on 7th January is the ideal course for a vet nurse looking to develop their VetCPD training next year.
This course tutored by expert Denise Prisk, DipAVN Surgical VTS Anaesthesia Analgesia LTCL LCGI RVN, will cover both basic and more advanced methods of monitoring anaesthetised small animals. The periods of induction, intubation and recovery will also be discussed. Common abnormalities will be covered, e.g. cardiac arrhythmias, hyper and hypocapnia, together with the action that should be taken to address them. Other courses running in January are: Ophthalmology in Dogs and Cats, Epilepsy in cats and dogs, Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumours in the Dog and Parasite prevention and disease detection in the travelling and imported pet. All courses run for three weeks with the tutor, beginning on 7th January 2019 and ending on the 27th January 2019.
